Many of you are probably unaware but Western Sydney University offers international support by assisting migrants displaced by civil war and/or global unrest to rebuild their lives. They do this by each year providing Refugee Scholarships to students to assist with their studies.

In 2014, Muna Laloo, a valued member of the Condon Associates team, was one of the students recognised with such a Scholarship. It was to primarily assist her with her English language studies. Subsequently in 2016, Muna was successful in obtaining a further scholarship, this time for her endeavours in studying her Masters of Finance, achieving a Deans Merit award. Muna in 2017 completed her degree, achieving a Degree with Distinction, one of only two students who achieved this milestone.

As a young Australian and former refugee, despite many challenges that she has faced, Muna has worked extremely hard to improve her English language skills and to also complete her Master of Finance, achieving a Distinction, but additionally to hold a full time position within our Group.

In October 2016, Muna was invited to attend the Town and Gown Dinner hosted by the University which showcases the talent and inspirational stories of the students. More recently Muna also attended the University to be interviewed for the forthcoming Impact Report released by the University.

Muna’s achievements have been remarkable, and are reflected in the work that she produces. We are sure that Muna will continue to achieve greatness in her career and are proud to count her as one of our team here at Condon Associates.
